Mercier Orchards has been around since 1943 and is in its 4th generation of family operators. There are fun activities all year long including u-pick events, tractor tours, fishing, sampling, wine tasting and shopping! Visitors can explore the property on the weekends walking by the pond, through the trees up to the original apple house on the hill!

#5 Hiking the Appalachian Trail

Every April adventurer’s set out to complete the exhilarating Appalachian Trail. This 2,000-mile trek begins in Fannin County at Springer Mountain and ends in Maine. Hiker’s will enjoy beautiful views along the hike up to Springer Mountain and beautiful rolling mountain views at the summit and can also take their picture next to the bronze plaque to earn bragging rights that they were on the AT!
