Overview
Canning season is back and with the season of the berry about to be in full force, we thought what better way to celebrate than with some homemade jam and jelly! The summer sweetness pairs perfectly with homemade biscuits or a fresh bagel with cream cheese.
Almost everybody knows about grape, strawberry, or peach jelly, but the hidden gems like tomato, corncob, rosemary..... shouldn't be overlooked and should definitely be tried.
In this class, Mae will go over the differences between jams, jellies, and preserves, and the different processes for making them and preserving your harvest for the season. You'll head home with a bit more knowledge, and some jars of jam and jelly that we make from the first fruits of the season, and hopefully a desire and passion to create some of your own unique jelly recipes.
