PEAK: July 29-30 Moon is 30% full
*Lower in the Southern sky North of the equator.
Alpha Capricornids Meteor Shower July 7-Aug 15
Peak July 30-31 (Moon is 20% full)
This shower often produces fireballs. Not a very strong shower.
Perseids Meteor Shower July 14-September 1
Peak: Aug 11-12 (Moon is 44% full)
Most popular meteor shower. They peak on warm Aug nights.

Orionids Meteor Shower Sept 26-Nov 22
Peak Oct 20-21 (Moon is 83% full)
Waning gibbous moon will severely hamper the views of this shower on Oct 20
Southern Taurids Meteor Shower Sept 23-Dec 8
Peak Nov 4-5 (Moon is 11% full)
Long lasting shower with many peaks. This shower is known for producing fireballs but only 5-10 shower members an hour.

Geminid Meteors are usually brightly colored and intense. Typically, the strongest meteor shower of the year.
